Build something

My advice from life:
When your heart is breaking,
build something.

Turn the hammer
that thumped you in the gut
into the tool used to knock down walls.
When your mind races
and chases sleep away,
double check your math.
And dream not just
of how to manage the repair,
but of the possibility in the options.

When your heart is breaking,
gather the tools and supplies you need
to create, to build, to make something new again.

That is how you shine.
